Pennaiyar Basin
Pennaiyar Basin is the second largest interstate East flowing river basin among the 12 basins lying between Pennar and Cauvery basins. It covers a large area in the State of Tamil Nadu besides the areas covered in the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The basin is located between the geographical co-ordinates Latitude 110 38’30” N & 120 54’00” N and Longitude 770 39’30” E & 790 54”.15” E. The total area of the basin in Tamil Nadu is 11,375.55sq.km and that of Union Territory of Pondicherry is 90 Sq.km.
