Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students
  • The Scheme will cover SC students for pursuing studies beyond 12th class.
  • Total annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 8.00 lakh.
  • (i) Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges
    (ii) Academic allowance of Rs. 86,000 in the first year of study and Rs. 41,000 in every subsequent year, to take care of living expenses, books and stationery, computer/laptop of reputed brand with accessories like UPS and printer, etc.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC students (All States)
  • For SC students in higher education
  • a) Degree and post graduate level professional courses
    b) Other professional courses leading to Degree, Diploma, Certificate
    c) Graduate and Postgraduate course.
  • Institutions/colleges with the ‘AISHE code’/UDISE Code’ shall be eligible.
  • Annual income of parents should not exceed Rs 2,50,000/-
  • Scholarship amount of Rs 3000-13500/year based on the course chosen.

Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi/ Cine/ IOMC/ LSDM Workers - Post-Matric
  • Scholarship amount of Rs. 1000/- to Rs.25000/- per student per annum
  • a) Degree Courses (including B.Sc. Agriculture) – Rs 6000
    b) Professional Courses 25000
  • Total monthly Income of the Worker’s family from all sources should not exceed as under:
  • a) Beedi Workers - Rs.10,000/
    b) Mine Workers – wage limit of Rs.10,000/- per month

National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students - Scholarship (Formally Top Class Education for Schedule Tribe Students) - only for scholarships
  • Graduate/Post Graduate level in identified Institutions of excellence, Government and Private, in professional fields such as Management, Medicine, Engineering, Information Technology, Law etc.
  • The total family income of the candidate to be eligible for this scholarship from all sources should not exceed Rs.6.0 lakh per annum.

  • M.Phil @ Rs. 25000/- PM
  • Ph.D @ Rs.28000/- PM
  • Tuition Fees full tuition fee and other non-refundable dues in respect of Government/Government funded institutions.
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST students
  • Applicable to students who are pursuing any recognized course from a recognized institution for which qualification is Matriculation/Class X or above.
  • Parental income from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakhs per annum.
  • a) Rs. 1,200/- per month for Hosteller &Rs. 550/- per month for Day Scholar for 10 months/ duration of the course.
    b) Additional allowance for ST students with disabilities as per the group.
    c) Relaxation in compulsory non-refundable fees.
    d) Study tours- Rs. 1600/annum.
    e) Thesis typing/Printing charges Rs. 1600/annum.
    f) Book allowance Rs. 1200/annum - For correspondence/ Distance education courses.

Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (Pm-Usp) Yojana Component Scheme – Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship For College And University Students
  • Graduate / postgraduate degree in colleges and universities and for professional courses, such as Medical, Engineering etc.
  • 80 percentile n in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent
  • Gross parental/family income up to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum
The rate of scholarship is Rs. 12,000/-per annum at Graduation level for first three years of College and University courses and Rs. 20,000/-per annum at Post Graduation level. Students pursuing professional courses, in case, where the duration of course is five (5) years/Integrated course will get Rs. 20,000/-per annum in the 4 th and 5th year. However, students pursuing technical courses such as B.Tech, B.Engg. will get scholarship up to graduation level only i.e. Rs. 12,000 p.a. for 1st , 2 nd and 3rd year and Rs. 20,000 in the 4th year. Note: The rate of scholarship is Rs.10,000/-per annum for first three years of fresh/ renewal scholarships with respect to academic year 2021-22, even if the actual release happens in FY 2022-23.

Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
  • Class XI to Master's Degree/ Diploma
  • Income ceiling of Rs 2.50 lakh
  • There are different rates of maintenance allowance for Post Graduate, Graduate, Diploma, professional courses leading to degree, diploma etc. in different disciplines. It ranges from Rs. 900 to 1600 p.m for hosteller and Rs. 550 to750 p.m. for day scholars plus Tuition fee (maximum ceiling Rs. 1.50 lakh 2018 per annum), book allowance of Rs. 1500/- per annum and disability allowance ranging from Rs. 2000/- to 2018 Rs. 4000/- per annum
Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities
  • Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree or Diploma
  • Monthly maintenance allowance of Rs. 3000/- for hostellers, Rs. 1500/- for day scholars, Rs. 2000/- per month disability allowance, book grant Rs. 5000/- per annum and tuition fee upto Rs. 2 lakh per annum.

Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities
(*Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrians (Parsis) have been notified as minority communities under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.)
  • Awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks
  • Annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.
  • Admission and tuition fee for UG & PG level: Rs. 3,000/- per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller & Day Scholar).
  • Maintenance allowance: For Courses other than Tech. & Prof. courses at UG & PG level*: Rs. 570/- per month for Hosteller & Rs. 300/- per month for Day Scholar.
  • For M.Phil & Ph.D.*: Rs. 1,200/- per month for Hosteller & Rs. 550/- per month for Day Scholar.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS
  • Awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks.
  • Annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh.
  • Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrians (Parsis) have been notified as minority communities.
  • Rate of Scholarship- Course Fee Rs. 20,000/- per annum subject to actuals whichever is less (for both Hosteller & Day Scholar)

Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme For RPF/RPSF

  • Professional Degree Courses like BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, BEd, BBS, BCA, MCA B. Pharma, etc. duly recognized by the respective Government Regulatory Bodies(Master Degree Courses are not eligible for PMSS except MBA, MCA).
  • Students should have secured 60% and above in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e. 12th Std., Diploma/Graduation.
  • The amount of scholarship would be as follows: (i) 2500/- per month for male students (ii) 3000/- per month for female students

All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE

Pragati Scholarship Scheme For Girl Students (Technical Degree)
  • The girl candidate should be admitted to First year of Degree level course OR Second year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institution of respective year.
  • Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study.
Saksham Scholarship Scheme For Specially Abled Student (Technical Degree)
  • The candidate should be admitted to First year of Degree level course
  • Specially-abled student, having disability of not less than 40%.
  • Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum
  • Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study.
AICTE – Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Degree)
  • The candidate should be from any one of the following categories: (i) Orphan OR (ii) Either or both parents died due to Covid 19 OR (iii) Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)
  • Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
  • The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE Approved institutions and courses at Degree/ Diploma level in regular mode (in 1st /2nd / 3rd /4th year).
  • Rs. 50,000 per annum for every year of study.

National Overseas Scholarship

National Overseas Scholarship for SC Candidates
(also applicable for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans category)
  • Atleast 60% marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
  • Age not more than 35 (Thirty Five) years, as on first day of April for selection year.
  • Candidates having unconditional offer letter of admission from Top 500 QS Ranking Institutions applying in the second cycle.

Tamilnadu Overseas Scholarship

Tamilnadu Overseas Scholarship for SC Candidates
  • In order to be eligible for scholarship, at least 60% marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination would be required.
  • Not more than 35 (Thirty Five) years, as on first day of April for selection year

Post Graduate Scholarship for Single Girl Child
  • To support post graduate education of single girl child in postgraduate courses.
  • Girl students up to the age of 30 years at the time of admission in first year of PG courses are eligible.
  • Amount of fellowship: Rs.36,200/- p.a. for a period of two years only i.e. full duration of a PG course. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc
Post Graduate Scholarship For University Rank Holders
  • The scholarship is available to the student for first PG Degree only. Age limit for the students is 30 years at the time of admission in PG course.
  • The Undergraduate courses from following streams have been identified for the award of scholarships: 1.Life Sciences 2. Physical Sciences 3. Chemical Sciences 4. Earth Sciences 5. Mathematical Sciences 6. Social Sciences 7. Commerce 8. Languages.
  • Amount of fellowship: Rs.3,100/- p.m for a period of two years.
Post Graduate Scholarship For Professional Courses For SC/ST
  • Courses which require approval from Regulatory Council i.e. Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), NCTIS, NCTE Bar council of India (BCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), INC, FORENSIC REGULATORY & DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF INDIA are considered professional courses. Note 1: M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MSW and Mass Communication and Journalism degree are accepted as “Non-professional courses”
  • The tenure of award is for two/three years depending upon tenure of the postgraduate course and not for extended period of study, ifany.
  • Candidates selected for the award of PG scholarships (under ME/MTech.) shall be provided Scholarship @ Rs.7800/-per month for the duration of the PG Scholarship. For other courses, the amount of scholarship will be paid @Rs.4500/- per month.

  • In order to be eligible for scholarship, at least 60% marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination would be required. In case of Ph. D courses, the qualifying exam would be Master’s Degree and for Master’s Degree courses, the qualifying examination would be Bachelor's Degree. In case a student has completed Bachelor's of Engineering after completing Diploma (Lateral Entry to 2nd year), percentage of marks obtained in Bachelor's degree will be taken into account.
  • Not more than 35 (Thirty Five) years, as on first day of April for selection year.
  • Candidates having unconditional offer letter of admission from Top 500 QS Ranking Institutions applying in the second cycle.

National Fellowship

National Fellowship Scheme for Higher Education Of ST Students

  • The candidate belonging to ST should have passed the Post-Graduation examination for being eligible for the Fellowship. The candidate should get admission and registration for regular and full time M.Phil/Ph.D Courses in University / Academic Institutions under the following category: Universities/ Institutes/ Colleges funded by Central/ State Government, Institutes of National Importance.
  • The total family income of the candidate to be eligible for this scholarship from all sources should not exceed Rs.6.0 lakh per annum.
  • M.Phil @ Rs. 25000/- pm, Ph.D @ Rs.28000/- pm
Junior Research Fellowship in Engineering & Technology
  • All Minimum qualifications are a master's degree in engineering/technology/pharmacy, with 55 per cent marks. GATE is not a mandatory condition for getting a research fellowship to pursue Ph.D. Candidates need to hold an M.E./M.Tech. degree. The age limit is 40 years as on 1 July of the year of award, extendable by five years for women and SC/ST candidates. A total of 22.5 per cent of the fellowships are reserved for candidates belonging to SC/ST who fulfil the requisite qualifications laid down for the award. In case of non-availability of SC/ST candidates, these slots will be made available to general candidates.

Junior Research Fellowship in Science, Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Candidates who have qualified in NET or the UGC-CSIR joint test. However, the selection for the JRF is made by the versities/institutions/colleges.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students
  • He/She should belong to one of the minority communities – Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist and Parsi, notified under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.
  • He/She should get admission and registration for regular and full time M.Phil/Ph.D courses in University/Academic Institution at the first available opportunity not later then with in a period of 2 years from the receipt of award letter (this period is not extendable). The admission and registration should be taken by fulfilling conditions of admission of that University/Institution, subject to provisions of the scheme as per advertisement of UGC.
  • @Rs. 16,000/- for initial two years (JRF) @ Rs. 18,000/- for remaining tenure (SRF)
