The Centre was established as per Syndicate Resolution No.134.11.4 dated 19.04.2000. Now the Centre is functioning under the Headship of Dr.R.Ramesh as Director. The Centre cater the needs of the U.G. and P.G. students Industrial Visits, survey camp and field visits. The Centre is arranging the transport facilities for the NSS and Sports board. The Centre cater the needs of the delegates who are attending the summer / winter school, National / International conference and other University functions.

The Logistics Centre is also arranging the outsourcing transport facilities to the University Dept,Centres. The Logistics Centre is rendering services in-connection with the repair and aintenance works for the vehicles attached to the various centers, Deans, Directors, Registrar & Estate Officer etc.
