ROLE OF EMRC, ANNA UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI ON SWAYAM PRABHA PLATFORM:

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has assigned EMRC, Chennai ,DTH DAKSH: Channel 10: CEC/UGC on SWAYAM Prabha platform to educate on various areas such as Applied Sciences, Allied Physical and Chemical sciences and related subjects at UG and PG levels. This channel uploads quality educational programmes to BISAG, Gujarat on Applied Sciences on 24 x 7 basis.

More information about the channel:

  • The SWAYAM PRABHA is a group of 34 DTH channels devoted to telecast the high-quality educational programmes on 24X7 basis using the GSAT-15 satellite.
  • Every day, there will be new content for at least (8) hours which would be repeated 3 more times in a day, allowing the students to choose the time of their convenience.
  • The channels are uplinked from BISAG, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
  • The contents are provided by NPTEL, IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU, NCERT
    and NIOS.
  • The INFLIBNET Centre maintains the web portal.
  • The channels are free-to-air and can be viewed on DD Free dish and DishTV.
