For Zonal / Inter-Zonal tournament, the matches are played on knockout basis.

The tournament shall be conducted according to the rules of the Basketball Federation of India, unless, otherwise, modified in these rules.

Only rubber basketballs shall be used in the competition.

Matches of 40 minutes duration are played on four quarter basis.

The number of players shall not be more than 12 and not more than 12 merit certificates shall be awarded to a team.
