The Anna University Science and Technology Park and
Hobby Centre (AUSTPAHC) is being launched with an avid objective
to establish the infrastructure facilities which will enable
the students to develop creativity in their mind and with
a vision to install a spirit of scientific and technical experimentation
and also to provide a conductive environment for self exploratory
work. It will also encourage the students to familiarize themselves
with various aspects of Science and Technology. Students of
various disciplines such as, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical
and Civil Engineering, including sciences will be given access
to tools and equipments for design, fabrication and testing
of various projects.
Working
models of modern machinery and appliances will also be kept
on display to promote the spirit of invention and to explain
the basic rudiments of the various technologies used in Engineering
Science. The students will be provided with opportunities
to explore new ideas and develop their innovativeness and
the Hobby Centre will serve as much needed link between the
theory and practice of Engineering for the young and budding
engineers to show their hidden skills. To promote the above
objectives, the Anna University Science and Technology Park
and Hobby Centre is hereby created with the support of Indian
Bank who have donated Rs. 5.00 Lakhs for this purpose. The
Anna University Science and Technology Park and Hobby Centre
will be an independent unit and will be managed by a Governing
Committee
