JULY 2019–Till date Teaching Fellow, Department of Bio Technology, Anna University. Handled subjects: Food Safety, Quality & Regulation,Spices & Plantation Technology, Food Processing & Preservation Technology,Food Flavours Technology.


Achievements

• Got Green belt in karate

• Awarded 3rd in kata, and 2nd in team kumite in district level karate championship - 2014 at Coimbatore

• Took part in National Cadet Corps(NCC)and passed the‘B Certificate exam ’with‘ A grade ’and‘ C Certificate exam ’with‘ B grade’.






Areas of interest


• Food processing and Bioplastics.



Internship


• Apart of intern was in the Licensing and Registration section. In that, I have gained a Knowledge of FSS Regulations and its applicability in the licensing of food business. Exposure of post license inspection to a food industry was helpful in knowing the Grounds and requirements for compliance with regulations.

• In the import section, I have learned about the application and label scrutiny of imported food products.And also about the visual inspection and sampling of imported products and the lab parameter verification.






Papers and Workshops


  • Presented a review paper titled“ Increasing Antibiotic Susceptibility by Inhibitiono f Biofilm Formation” in National level Conference on “Futuristic approaches in biotechnology” held at BIT,Sathyamangalam.
  • Presented a paper titled “Biosorption, Kinetics and Equilibrium studies on Removal of Hexavalent Chromium Ionsfrom Aqueous Synthetic Solution using Defatted Neem Oil Cake”in International conference on “Advances in chemical engineering ”held at NIT,Surathkal,Mangalore.
  • Participated in the workshop on “Poster Making for Research Presentation ”,conducted by the Nutrition Society of Indiain Chennai

Project work

  • Removal of Hexavalent Chromium Ionsfrom Aqueous Synthetic Solution using Defatted Neem Oil Cake(UGProject).
  • Development of Intelligent Packaging for Monitoring the Quality of Perishable Food Products(PG Project).

  • Organised an International conference - Avidadham 2018 in Anna University.
  • Member of Association of Biotechnologist, Department of biotechnology,KCT
  • Member of National Cadet Corps, Organizer of Corps Fest for the period of 2013-15 and attended two Combined Annual Training Camp conducted by AIR WING BN NCC
